Strategically located over a bamboo forest, it makes for great viewing of the nocturnal animals that come to feed on bamboo leaf and other fruit: monkeys and others. The night air will be full of sound and activity, the forest floor below a gallery of activity, a night not to be forgotten.
Day 03: Parrot Clay lick - Manu Rainforest Lodge
At dawn we’ll head to the river to quietly sit at the bank and await the arrival of hundreds of macaws pairs and parrots at the clay lick. Afterwards we’ll explore the private reserve where we’ll be the only visitors. Keep your eyes open for peccaries, monkey’s frailes, armadillos and the large Amazonian tortoises.
